Olivia Newton-John is as loved in death as she was in life.
This week would have been the Aussie icon’s 74th birthday, but her loved ones celebrated the occasion regardless in tribute to the late star.
The singer and actress’ daughter, Chloe Lattanzi, marked the day by hosting a special dinner in an intimate restaurant with family and friends, including Newton-John’s husband, John Easterling.
“We love you mama,” Lattanzi captioned a video from the dinner which she posted to Instagram.
In the heartwarming footage, the 36-year-old could be seen sitting next to her godmother, Nany Chuda, as they remembered the Grease star.
“With my godmother celebrating my beautiful mother’s birthday,” Lattanzi – who is the only child of Newton-John and her actor ex-husband Matt Lattanzi – said on camera.
Sending his love from afar was Newton-John’s Grease co-star John Travolta.
The 68-year-old actor shared a photo on his Instagram Story of himself and Newton-John, who was his co-star in the classic 1978 musical movie.
“Happy birthday my Olivia,” Travolta caption written underneath the photo of the pair in character as lovebirds Danny Zuko and Sandy Olsson.
Newton-John was just as fond of Travolta. They became fast friends after meeting on the set of Grease, with their friendship spanning decades.
“I feel grateful to be a part of that and to have worked with him. We’ve stayed friends ever since,” she told People in 2018 when celebrating Grease’s 40th anniversary
“[In tough times] John always reaches out to me,” she said, as Travolta added in the interview: “When you share that kind of meteoric success – and nothing has been able to exceed it – you share a bond.”
